Thinking of Cleaning places we forget to clean.
Lately, because of the news, I’ve been thinking of cleaning more than usual (meaning a lot!). As a professional service provider, when servicing a home, I wash my hands frequently. However, going through the day I started thinking and observing the regular surfaces that I touch but may not often clean or wipe down frequently in my everyday movements. Now I’m more aware of these “touch points” and wanted to share with you! Keeping It Fresh and Clean.
Frequent touch points inside (and outside) the car
- Steering wheel
- Gear handles & Door handles
- Audio knobs, buttons
- Mirror frame
- Keys and key chain
- Add alcohol to a pack of baby wipes for wiping hands and car interior
- Keep disposable gloves in the car to use when pumping gas
At-Home – Cleaning and disinfect
- Light switches
- Door Handles
- Remotes, cell phones, headphones
- Computer keyboards, mouse & touch screens (never spray cleaner on your screens)
- Banisters
- Frequent touch points in kitchen & bathroom
- Chair frames/ back of chairs
- Wipe pets paws and dry (use a damp cloth with soap & water)
- Remove shoes after entering the house. Spray and wipe the soles of shoes with disinfectant cleaner for extra protection.
